Responsibilities

• Setup and configure Magento 1.X and Magento 2.X sites.
• Custom Magento extension development.
• Follow agile methodologies and practices around analysis, design, and development.
• Develop front-end web components using CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery, as needed.
• Configure Apache and/or NGINX web servers and MySQL databases
• Work in a team environment creating and supporting enterprise-grade applications

Qualifications and Basic Requirements

• 3+ years' professional experience in Magento 1.x and/or Magento 2.x development.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in related field. Extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years' professional experience in front end website design and development.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to document processes and solutions
• Project management software such as Wrike, Jira.
• Ability to meet strict timelines
• Experience with WordPress or custom LAMP (PHP) development (PLUS)
• Solutions-oriented thinking; always looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer
• A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies
• Must be extremely passionate about learning new technologies & implementing them
• Must take ownership and accountability for projects & deliver on time lines
• Must be a smart out of the box thinker with leadership qualities

Skills and Technical Requirements

• Expert understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components (Magento Open Source and Magento Enterprise versions 1 & 2)
• Expertise in authoring and extending Magento extensions.
• Thorough experience in customizing Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates.
• Thorough knowledge of vanilla Magento feature set, functionality and configuration.
• Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization and relationships,
• Store catalog (categories/products/attributes)
• Sales orders (quotes/orders/invoices/shipments/credits)
• Competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQuery.
• Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Familiarity with optimization & debugging tools & strategies (Memcached, Redis, Xdebug, PHPUnit)
• A desire to be personally responsible for production-level code
• Ingenuity to leverage all available tools at your disposal.
• Comfort working with Linux-based systems.

• Magento Certifications
• Familiarity with automated testing tools & strategies (Selenium, New Relic, Blackfire)
• Familiarity with automated deployment strategies (Jenkins, Bamoboo, Bitbucket Pipelines)
• In-depth knowledge of PCI/PA-DSS compliance issues
• Experience in ERP integrations with Magento (Netsuite, ADP, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
