Job Overview

Gamut HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Fashion Designer specializing in Sportswear to join their team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sustainable fashion techniques and proficiency in using industry-standard design software.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (Mandatory skill) with a strong ability to create detailed and accurate digital designs.
• Expertise in sustainable fashion techniques (Mandatory skill) with a proven track record in environmentally-friendly design practices.
• Solid understanding of sportswear (Mandatory skill) design, ensuring functionality and style in all garments created.
• Experience with CLO 3D for creating realistic 3D garment simulations and prototypes quickly and effectively.
• Skilled in technical sketching, producing clear and precise drawings that communicate design concepts effectively.
• Strong textile material knowledge, understanding the qualities and applications of various fabrics and materials in sportswear design.
• Ability in trend forecasting, staying ahead of current style and design trends to ensure innovative and relevant sportswear collections.
• Competence in pattern making, creating and adjusting patterns to bring unique and precise fashion garments to life.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design innovative and functional sportswear collections that appeal to target markets and adhere to brand aesthetics.
• Collaborate with other designers, product developers, and marketers to develop new ideas and ensure designs meet business objectives.
• Conduct research on current fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform design decisions.
• Create detailed designs and technical packs using Adobe Illustrator and CLO 3D for prototyping and production purposes.
• Ensure all designs consider sustainability factors, focusing on eco-friendly processes and materials.
• Manage and present design concepts through all stages from initial sketch to final production-ready piece.
• Work closely with material and trim suppliers to source appropriate components for sportswear production.
• Provide constructive feedback during the fitting sessions and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and fit standards are met.
