Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Commi specializing in Continental Cuisine to join our team in Hyderabad. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in culinary arts, focusing on Continental culinary techniques.
Qualifications and Skills
- Culinary Skills (Mandatory skill): Proven ability to perform various cooking techniques and use kitchen equipment effectively.
- Menu Planning (Mandatory skill): Ability to assist in developing and planning menus with a focus on Continental cuisine.
- Knowledge of Continental Cuisine (Mandatory skill): Extensive knowledge of Continental culinary methods, ingredients, and presentation.
- Food Preparation: Skilled in preparing food items according to set recipes and standards, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to every aspect of meal preparation and presentation to maintain quality and standards.
- Time Management: Efficient at managing multiple tasks and completing them within time constraints and deadlines.
- Teamwork: Capable of working effectively within a team to achieve a common goal and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various Continental dishes as per the menu.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and available for use in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and preparation tasks.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the executive chef.
- Accommodate special dietary needs and dietary restrictions of guests when necessary.
- Monitor food stock and help with inventory management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of meals to the dining area.
