Job Overview
Gamut HR Solutions is seeking a Banquet Coordinator to join our team. As a Banquet Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of our banquet events. This includes planning, organizing, and executing banquets to ensure a successful and memorable experience for our clients and guests. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience in banquet coordination.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Banquet Coordinator or similar role
- Solid knowledge of banquet operations and event management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to provide excellent service
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of banquet events, including planning, organizing, and executing
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and ensure their needs are met
- Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events
- Handle event logistics, such as room setup, audiovisual equipment, and decorations
- Prepare and communicate event timelines and details to all parties involved
- Ensure all banquet operations comply with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during events
- Maintain accurate records of events, including attendance, expenses, and feedback
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovative event concepts
