We are looking for a skilled Academic Counsellor to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions. As an Academic Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students in their academic journey. This is a mid-level position with an experience requirement of 4 to 6 years. The job is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India and is a full-time role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling or related field.
• Proven experience as an Academic Counsellor or similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of various educational programs and career opportunities.
• Ability to empathize with students and provide guidance and support.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with educational software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of counseling techniques and career development theories.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide academic counselling to students, helping them select the right courses and programs based on their interests and career goals.
• Assist students in understanding the academic requirements and eligibility criteria of various courses.
• Guide students in setting realistic academic and career goals, and develop an action plan to achieve them.
• Conduct individual counselling sessions to address the unique needs and concerns of students.
• Keep track of students' academic progress and provide necessary support and intervention.
• Collaborate with faculty and other academic staff to ensure a smooth learning experience for students.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and career fairs to provide students with information about various career options.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the education industry.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of academic counselling activities and student progress.
