As a Nursing Supervisor, you play a crucial role in overseeing client care, managing staff in terms of their job schedules and utilization, ensuring employee productivity and superior quality of service, organizing trainings and maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Job Activities:

Ø Direct and manage nursing staff according to the relevant policies and procedures and in the process contribute to optimal nursing care and overall management of patients.

Ø Coordinate the activities of team members and schedule the duty rosters. Direct and supervise less skilled nursing and healthcare personnel.

Ø Ensure productivity targets are met by way of effectively deploying nurses and by managing their schedules.

Ø Undertake training activities for Caregivers and Nurses in order to upskill them and also to ensure that their knowledge level is kept up to date.

Ø Manage the delivery of nursing services and patient care to meet quality, clinical and utilization standards as well as to ensure performance management.

Ø Ensure patient care and quality standards are met and complied with government regulatory requirements as well as established departmental policies.

Ø Supervise day-to-day activities of the unit, incl. monitoring quality of service and utilization standards, supervising shift activities, and delivery of patient care.

Ø Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and the delivery of patient care.

Ø Coordinate plans of treatment, customer-focused care, and cost-effective utilization of services.

Ø Implement and maintain patient care plans, care schedules, assessment reports and all necessary documentation.

Ø Monitor record, report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.

Ø Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.

Ø Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient condition.

Ø Work with individuals, groups or families in order to propagate the values, the mission and vision of Guardian Angel Home Care

Ø Guide nurses in nursing procedures.

Establish rapport with every staff and employee of the institution.

Competencies:

Ø Computer proficiency such as MS word, Excel.

Ø Analytical skill and sound clinical judgement.
