Job Overview

As an International Student Counselor at Fynd Career, you will play a crucial role in assisting international students throughout their academic journey. This includes providing guidance and support, helping students with their visa and accommodation process, and ensuring a smooth transition into their chosen educational institution. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and is suitable for candidates with less than 1 year of experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with international students and educational institutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and establish trust with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of education systems, admission processes, and visa regulations for studying abroad.
• Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage a high volume of student inquiries.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience in student counseling or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist international students with the admission process, providing guidance on admission requirements, course selection, and application procedures.
• Conduct regular counseling sessions with students to understand their interests, goals, and aspirations.
• Provide information and guidance on scholarships, financial aid, and funding options available for international students.
• Assist students in obtaining the necessary visas and completing the required documentation for studying abroad.
• Coordinate with educational institutions and accommodation providers to ensure a smooth transition for students.
• Offer support and counseling to students throughout their academic journey, addressing any concerns or challenges they may face.
• Organize and conduct orientation sessions to familiarize international students with the educational institution's policies and resources.
• Collaborate with other team members to create and deliver informative workshops and seminars for international students.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, including documentation of counseling sessions and progress.
• Stay updated on changing immigration and visa regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
