Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team at FracSpace Private Limited in Hyderabad. As a Tandoori Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and perfecting traditional Indian tandoori dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and authenticity. This is a full-time senior position requiring a maximum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in tandoor cooking techniques, including marinating and roasting to produce authentic Indian flavors (Mandatory skill).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Indian spices and marinades, essential for crafting traditional and modern tandoori dishes (Mandatory skill).
- Skilled in naan and bread baking using traditional tandoor ovens to ensure authenticity in serving (Mandatory skill).
- Expert in grilling and roasting various meats, ensuring they are cooked to perfection and meet safety standards.
- Strong expertise in traditional Indian cuisine, highlighting regional dishes and adapting recipes to modern standards.
- In-depth understanding of food safety and hygiene practices to maintain the highest standards in food preparation.
- Proficient in menu development, especially for authentic Indian cuisine, enhancing customer satisfaction and experience.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently and ensure timely kitchen operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional tandoori dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and taste.
- Maintain and operate tandoor ovens, ensuring they are used correctly and are cleaned regularly for optimal performance.
- Develop new tandoori recipes and adjust existing ones to expand the menu and meet customer preferences.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to manage food preparation and services efficiently during peak times.
- Ensure that all food items are stored safely and prepared according to health standards and guidelines.
- Monitor food inventory and collaborate with the purchasing department to maintain suitable stock levels.
- Train junior kitchen staff on tandoor cooking techniques and kitchen ethics to maintain performance quality.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide input on menu items and culinary presentations.
