We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in manual testing and exposure to automated testing tools to join our e-commerce/SaaS team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet quality standards and work as intended. As part of the QA team, you will execute manual tests, use testing tools, report bugs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual Testing: Execute test cases, test plans, and procedures to manually test new and existing features of e-commerce/SaaS platforms.
  • Test Planning & Execution: Work with product managers and developers to understand product requirements and create test plans for manual and automated testing.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on software releases to ensure existing functionality is not negatively impacted by new code.
  • Bug Reporting & Tracking: Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like JiraTrello, or Bugzilla, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.
  • Cross-Browser & Cross-Device Testing: Ensure the compatibility of the product across various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  • API Testing: Use tools like Postman to test API endpoints, validate responses, and ensure data integrity between the frontend and backend systems.
  • Performance Testing: Collaborate with teams to perform basic performance testing to ensure applications function optimally under different loads.
  • Documentation: Maintain test case documentation, testing procedures, and bug reports to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to understand product goals and resolve quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in manual testing for web or mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce or SaaS platforms is a plus.

Skills:

  • Manual Testing: Proficiency in manual testing, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Bug Tracking & Reporting: Strong experience in using bug tracking tools like JiraBugzilla, or Trello to log, manage, and track bugs.
  • API Testing: Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman to test and validate API endpoints.
  • Test Case Management: Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr to organize and document test cases and results.
  • Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Understanding of how to test applications across multiple browsers and devices for compatibility.
  • Basic Automation Knowledge: Exposure to automation tools like SeleniumCypress, or Puppeteer is a plus, even if manual testing is the primary responsibility.
  • SQL: Basic knowledge of querying databases using SQL for validating test data.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git for code version tracking.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Mobile Testing Tools: Experience testing mobile applications and using platforms like Appium or BrowserStack for device emulation.
  • Automation Exposure: Basic knowledge of creating or executing automated test scripts using SeleniumCypress, or similar tools.
  • Performance Testing: Experience with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner for performance and load testing.
  • CI/CD Knowledge: Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and automated testing pipelines.

Soft Skills:

  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and document issues clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and techniques to improve testing processes.

Benefits:
