Education
Qualification - B.Sc / M.Sc /B.Tech/M. Tech Food Nutrition/Food Technology/Food Science or related

Requirements
- Recognized Certifications related to Food Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Regulations will be a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of nutritional principles & guidelines and application in Food Product Development.
- Demonstrated experience in Food labeling & Regulatory affairs. Understanding of food Ingredients, formulations & final products and confirmation on their legal compliance.
- Strong Knowledge in FSSAI regulations (mandatory); Knowledge in USFDA, Halal, EFSA, APEDA will be a plus.
- Possess Good communication and Presentation skills; Proactive and an excellent team worker
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Selected Candidate will be working on both Nutrition (40%) & Regulatory (60%) aspects
Nutrition:
- Understand Nutritional requirements of the project and creating the best nutritional design from a health perspective.
- Train and consult Internal team & Clients on topics related to Food Nutrition.
- Collaborate with R&D teams in development & optimization of food products and ensuring its provides the nutrition of highest quality.
- Collect & Analyze data from different sources (literature study, primary research, secondary research, in-house product trials, etc) and preparation of detailed reports
- Stay up to date on the latest nutritional research, trends, and guidelines to ensure accurate and current information is provided to team and clients.
Regulatory:
- Understand Regulatory requirements of the project and act as POC for providing regulatory guidance to the concerned R&D team.
- Assess acceptability of Ingredients & Formulation as per regulatory standards of different countries (FSSAI, USFDA, Halal, etc)
- Provide & verify details for Product labeling (FSSAI category, Ingredients list, Nutritional information, Health claims, Marketing & Advertising claims, Warnings, etc)
- Work along with R&D team & External lab for final product analysis - Drafting the list of analysis as per regulations and inference of results.
- Initiate and collaborate with FSSAI POC for Product Approval or queries or concerns. Manage all regulatory interactions, including submissions, communications and meetings
- Prepare, review and submit regulatory documents in compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines.
- Stay up to date on the latest regulatory changes with regards to food ingredients, food safety, food packaging, etc
