Position: Food Formulation Specialist (Convenience Foods

Educational Qualifications: B. Tech or M. Tech in Food Technology, Food Science or Food Process Engineering.

Experience:-3-5 years of Research & Development experience in the food industry .

Strong knowledge of convenience food categories.

Cost to Company (CTC) as per industry standards.


 Required Skills and Expertise:

- Proven experience in developing new products from lab to industrial scale.

- Strong understanding of market trends and the ability to create innovative food products.

- Excellent project management skills, particularly in handling client projects.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.


Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

  - Understand project expectations and plan deliverables accordingly.

  - Ensure timely and organized project execution.

2. Formulation Development:

  - Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of ingredients and their functionalities.

  - Work with the procurement team to identify and recommend vendors for ingredients.

  - Explore and optimize various formulation combinations and processing techniques.

  - Establish product, process, and sensory parameters.

3. Lab and Sensory Trials:

  - Supervise or conduct lab trials and internal sensory testing.

  - Ensure proper documentation of data and results.

  - Delegate tasks to Product Development Associates (PDA) and oversee their work.

4. Documentation:

  - Ensure all reports are completed in accordance with organizational requirements.

5. Commercialization:

  - Identify and evaluate third-party manufacturers for commercial trials.

  - Conduct factory trials to bring products to market.

6. Regulatory and Compliance:

  - Have a basic understanding of regulatory (FSSAI) and legal compliance.

  - Ensure all products comply with these regulations.

7. External Collaboration:

  - Coordinate with NABL-accredited external labs for product analysis and results.

8. Product Labelling:

  - Develop product labelling requirements such as ingredient lists, nutritional information, etc.
