Location: Goregaon (Mumbai)

• A Purchase Manager in the packaging industry plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability of high-quality packaging materials, optimizing procurement costs, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations to support manufacturing and distribution activities.

• Key Responsibilities

• Procurement and planning for all plant locations and the Mumbai office
• Tracking and arranging material on time
• New Vendor development
• Working in Tally Prime environment approval for PR & PO
• Raw material costing and comparisons and keeping costs under control
• Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and supplies to prevent stockouts and excess inventory. Implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize carrying costs while ensuring adequate supply.
• Up to date with present market conditions and future material availability
• Co-ordination with the Sales/marketing department for new packaging development
• Approvals and suggestions for new development samples and online proofing
• Keeping a check on the purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery & payments of vendors
• Co-ordinate with all plants & Analyze packaging material-related complaints
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish quality standards for packaging materials and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Awareness about new trends & advancements in technology & timely feedback to the management in terms of new packaging materials available in the market

Skills:

• Strong in Price negotiation and costing of printing and packaging material
• Strong knowledge of every process, quality, and improving system

Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in international procurement is a plus.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the flexible packaging or plastic industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude.
• Minimum Experience of 5 Years
