We are looking for an experienced Manager - Accounts to lead our Accounts team and ensure financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role involves driving process improvements, conducting financial reviews, and collaborating with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting, financial closure, and reporting
- Lead a team of accountants for AP, AR, and compliance management.
- Handling the books of accounts of multiple group companies.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Conduct in-depth Balance Sheet and P&L reviews to maintain financial integrity.
- Perform monthly flux analysis and provide insights on variances.
- Review and scrutinize reconciliations such as vendor, bank, FDR, and Form 26AS with books of accounts.
- Support external audits by providing required documentation and resolving queries.
- Profitability analysis and identifying areas of cost reduction.
- Managing annual book closure and statutory audit.
Process improvement & team leadership
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
- Drive operational efficiency and implement best practices in financial and accounting processes.
- Monitor team performance and allocate tasks effectively.
- Responsible for creating policies and guidelines for recording of revenue and consistent allocation of expenses to different cost and profit centers.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.
Key Skills and Expertise:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis – Strong knowledge of Balance Sheet, P&L, and Trial Balance reviews.
- Month-End Close – Expertise in closing processes, intercompany reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in managing financial data at cost center level.
- Process Optimization – Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement – Ability to manage teams and work cross-functionally.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified CA with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in General Accounting & Financial Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, accounts receivable and treasury management, accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit practices.
