Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to join our team in Chennai. This is a Contract-To-Hire or Contract position. The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 7 years of work experience in mainframe development, demonstrating expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

Qualifications and Skills

• Should be strong technically in mainframe - COBOL , JCL , DB2 , VSAM.
• Validates technical specification and develops solutions for the same in mainframes.
• Ability to analyze the requirement and propose technical design solutions.
• A good team member & analytical skills.
• Exposure to Agile SCRUM Methodology will be added advantage

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design effective solutions to meet business needs.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability by following best practices and coding standards.
• Document detailed specifications for new development and maintenance work.
• Provide technical support and expertise to junior developers and other team members.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning activities.
• Continuously improve processes by identifying areas for automation and efficiency enhancement.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and meet project requirements and deadlines.
