Job Title: Network Operations Center (NOC)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our team. The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of our network infrastructure, identifying and resolving technical issues, and providing timely support to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of network technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor network systems, servers, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
• Respond to alerts and notifications regarding network outages,performance degradation, and other technical issues.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of network and system incidents, escalating issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems, including working closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and solutions implemented using ticketing systems.
• Implement and follow standard operating procedures for incident management and escalation.
• Monitor and manage network security systems to detect and respond to potential security threats or breaches.
• Provide timely and effective communication to stakeholders and management regarding network status, incidents, and resolutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network monitoring tools, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and be available for off-hours support when needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Network Operations Center (NOC) Specialist or in a similar network monitoring role.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software (e.g., Nagios, Newrelic, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Hands on experience on Linux System Administration, docker, git, Ansible and Jenkins
• Hands on experience Cloud: AWS and Azure.
• Scripting: Python, Bash
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent are a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience with security monitoring tools is desirable.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• Working Conditions: This position may require working in a 24/7 Network Operations Center environment, including rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.
