Position Title: Hotel Restaurant Manager
Job Summary: The Hotel Restaurant Manager oversees all aspects of the dining operations within the hotel, ensuring exceptional service, maximizing revenue, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. This role involves managing not only the hotel restaurant but also any additional food and beverage outlets within the hotel, such as bars, lounges, and room service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the hotel's dining establishments, including the restaurant, bar, lounge, and room service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the executive chef and kitchen staff to maintain menu quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
- Guest Satisfaction:
- Uphold the hotel's service standards by providing exceptional guest experiences and addressing any issues or complaints promptly.
- Train and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability for the food and beverage outlets.
- Conduct regular financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Implement pricing strategies, menu engineering, and promotional activities to drive sales and increase profitability.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and efficient workflow.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts to meet operational needs while adhering to labor laws and budgetary constraints.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and address any performance issues or conflicts as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in restaurant management, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in food safety regulations, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with POS systems and other restaurant technology.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
