The QA Manager for Home Textiles is responsible for ensuring that all textile products meet the required quality standards before they reach the market. This role involves developing quality assurance processes, managing inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team to maintain high-quality production and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for home textile products.
- Ensure adherence to global and regional quality standards (e.g., AQL, ISO, OEKO-TEX, etc.).
- Inspection and Testing:
- Oversee inspections at various stages of production, including raw material, in-process, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with specifications such as fabric weight, thread count, colorfastness, shrinkage, and durability.
- Collaborate with external labs for advanced testing when necessary.
- Supplier Management:
- Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide feedback to suppliers and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and train a team of quality inspectors and supervisors.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and root causes of defects.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures to minimize defects and improve processes.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance activities, including inspection reports and test results.
- Provide detailed quality performance reports to management.
- Customer Focus:
- Address customer complaints related to product quality and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams to meet customer requirements effectively.
