Store Keeper/Manager


We are looking for an individual with well-developed verbal and written communication skills, since a construction site storekeeper must be able to adequately communicate with workers, supervisors, vendors, contractors, subcontractors.


Your responsibilities: 

  • Knowledge of various materials used in construction - electrical, plumbing, cement, steel, adhesives, tiles, paints etc.
  • Maintaining and keeping track of receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom.
  • Receiving, unloading, and shelving supplies.
  • Executing other stock-related duties which may include returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies.
  • Examining and reviewing deliveries for discrepancies and damages and reporting to necessary personnel for reimbursements and record keeping.
  • Cleaning construction equipment and testing them to ensure functionality.
  • Overseeing and/or exercising general control over all the tools and activities of the store.
  • Inspecting the construction site and ensuring that all tools and/or equipment are complete and in good shape.
  • Answering questions regarding procedures and resolving issues that may arise on receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs, and surplus supply.


Skill sets/Experience we require:

  • The ability to pay particular attention to detail, as supervising the store of a construction site, as well as a team of workers involves many different factors.
  • Excellent management skills, since he or she is in charge of maintaining all the tools and equipment of the construction site and also ensure that they are safe and well-maintained
  • Financial acumen to file and analyze a bills & financial statements.
  • Knowledge of Tally accounting software is an add-on.
  • Strong multitasking skills which enable him or her to handle several tasks efficiently at the same time.
  • Good time management skills, since construction projects must be completed within a given deadline.


Pedigree:

  • Degree with relevant experience.
  • B.E / B.Tech or diploma in civil with relevant experience is preferred.
