We are seeking a Senior L3 Storage and Backup Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Rocklin on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and deep expertise in storage and backup solutions. This role involves working on diverse storage technologies and implementing disaster recovery plans to ensure reliable data protection and recovery.

Qualifications and Skills

• In-depth expertise in NetApp systems for managing enterprise storage infrastructures efficiently.
• Proven experience in developing and executing disaster recovery strategies to minimize system downtime.
• Proficiency in storage protocols including NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel to ensure robust storage solutions.
• Solid experience in working with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies to support storage and backup operations.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Powershell and Python to streamline storage management processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of GDPR and HIPAA compliance standards to maintain data security.
• Must have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize storage performance and reliability.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve complex storage and backup issues promptly and effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise storage and backup solutions to ensure high availability and data protection.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and ensure quick recovery from catastrophic failures.
• Monitor storage systems performance and recommend enhancements to optimize operations and efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate storage solutions with existing infrastructure and enhance overall performance.
• Create and maintain documentation for storage configurations, processes, and policies to facilitate future reference.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelines for data protection and storage management.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of storage and backup systems to identify potential improvements.
• Provide Level 3 technical support to troubleshoot and resolve critical storage and backup issues.
