Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Taipei City. As a mid-level position, the role requires 4 to 6 years of work experience in IT support. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support in a full-time capacity, resolving user issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems in alignment with EIL Global's standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong experience with Windows OS, understanding its configuration and troubleshooting common issues.
- Proficiency in Active Directory to manage and maintain directory services and access controls.
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite to provide support and resolve user-related issues.
- Experience using remote desktop tools for effective troubleshooting and user support.
- Ability to navigate and utilize ticketing systems for logging, tracking, and resolving IT issues efficiently.
- Expertise in hardware repair including diagnosis and replacement of faulty components.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills (Mandatory skill) to identify and resolve IT problems promptly.
- Strong IT support skills (Mandatory skill) to assist users with technical issues and improve system performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and other management tools.
- Resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks reported by end-users.
- Maintain records of repairs, configurations, and installations for reference and compliance.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software as needed.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of technical FAQs and best practices.
- Work closely with other IT team members to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct regular maintenance to ensure the continued performance of IT systems and infrastructure.
