Job Overview
We are seeking a committed Desktop Support Engineer for a freelance, mid-level position located in Eagle Farm. As a pivotal part of our technical team, you will apply your skills to offer exceptional desktop support and tackle technical challenges, ensuring smooth IT operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively (Mandatory skill).
- Proficiency in desktop support tasks, ensuring end-users experience minimal downtime and maximum productivity (Mandatory skill).
- Experience in IT support, providing exceptional customer service to resolve technical challenges promptly.
- Technical support knowledge to address and solve diverse issues across various platforms and environments.
- Laptop support skills to maintain, repair, and optimize laptop performance for enterprise users.
- Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for managing system deployments and configurations.
- Expertise in using ticketing tools to manage, track, and resolve user issues systematically and efficiently.
- Strong computer hardware troubleshooting capabilities to maintain optimal system functionality and uptime.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide frontline desktop support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Use ticketing systems to track user requests and issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to diagnose and repair network and connectivity issues promptly.
- Maintain hardware and software inventories, ensuring up-to-date records of all IT assets.
- Assist in deploying new workstations and peripherals, ensuring proper configuration and user readiness.
- Support the SCCM environment for deploying applications, updates, and maintaining configurations.
- Continuously monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Document procedures and troubleshooting steps for common issues to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
