Roles and responsibilities:

1. Installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and support of IBM API Connect in Cloud (Azure) and On Prem VMs.
2. Monitor the health of the IBM API Connect environment to ensure performance and availability of APIs.
3. Participate and lead as necessary in incident resolution calls when needed to assist root cause analysis of issues.
4. Analyze logs to identify problems in the IBM API Connect environment.
5. Configure and implement backup and restoration of IBM API Connect subsystems and configuration data.
6. Maintain CI/CD pipeline for building and deploying APIs in IBM API Connect
7. Use the API Management Portal to manage the lifecycle of APIs across multiple API catalogs.
8. Consumer maintenance includes creating users, groups and roles, and security configurations.
9. Make IBM API Connect Developer Portal changes using the administrative menus to affect the portal configuration and Drupal themes, as well as perform some look and feel content changes.
10. Enabling third-party tools like Elastic to capture the analytics events for customer dashboards.
11. Splunk data platform expertise with advanced search queries construction, monitoring and alerting setup for failures
12. Configure the security of the IBM API Connect product using TLS profiles and native oAtuh2 mechanisms to ensure a secure operating environment.
13. Good at applying product maintenance patches, interim releases, and upgrades as required in IBM API Connect in Cloud and On Prem VMs.
14. Deliver technical architecture-related information, support technical discovery sessions, assist architect/ team lead as required, and respond to architecture, infrastructure, and security questions as required.
15. Must be good in hardware specifications, networking requirements, and storage sizing analysis on IBM API Connect.
