Job Overview

We are looking for a Career Counsellor to join our team at Edurays - India. As a Career Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to individuals in their career development journey. This includes assisting them in identifying their strengths and interests, exploring various career options, and creating a personalized career plan. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in career counselling.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
• Proven experience in career counselling or similar role, preferably 1-3 years
• Knowledge of career assessment tools and resources
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport with clients
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in using computer software and online platforms for research and documentation
• Adaptability and flexibility to meet the diverse needs of clients
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Professional certification in career counselling (e.g., Global Career Development Facilitator) is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct individual career counselling sessions with clients to assess their needs and goals
• Provide guidance and support in exploring career options, including educational paths and job prospects
• Assist clients in identifying their strengths, skills, and interests through assessments and discussions
• Create personalized career development plans for clients, taking into consideration their aspirations and resources
• Offer advice on resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and labor market information to provide relevant and accurate guidance
• Collaborate with educational institutions, employers, and other professionals to facilitate internships, job placements, and networking opportunities
• Maintain client records and documentation in a confidential and organized manner
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance counselling skills and stay updated with best practices
