Background: We are pioneering a private equity fund focused on combating climate change across Asia. Our mission involves mobilizing capital and investing in sectors crucial for energy transition, e-mobility, sustainable agriculture, environmental resources, circular economy, and more.

Employment Type: Full-time, currently remote with potential for on-site in Gurgaon in the future. Currently a contractual role with a regular stipend and based on performance can be converted to an employment relationship.

Expected Duration: 6-12 months (extendable)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Research: Conduct thorough research on climate investing landscape and private equity sector dynamics.
2. Investment Evaluation: Participate in fund investment through evaluation of investment opportunities, financial modelling, developing recommendations and investment committee memos, conducting due diligence and concluding transactions
3. Fundraising Support: Assist in fundraising activities by providing valuable insights and data.
4. Fund Formation: Collaborate on documentation and liaise with legal teams, advisors, and regulators during the fund formation process.
5. Stakeholder Management: Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders to foster platform growth and coordinate various initiatives.
6. Initiative Ownership: Take ownership of associated initiatives aimed at supporting the fund's objectives.

Requirements:

1. Financial Modeling and Valuation: Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
2. Climate Change Interest: Interest in addressing climate change through investment strategies.
3. Background: Interest and background in investing, funds, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, startups, consulting, or chartered accountancy.
4. Corporate Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in MS Office suite.
5. Educational Background: Graduation or above in finance, economics, accounts, or related fields.
6. Eagerness to Learn: Proactive attitude towards learning and willingness to explore new work streams.
