Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Security:
  2. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ladies hostel and ensuring a safe and secure living environment for all residents.
  3. Conducting regular rounds of the hostel premises to monitor security and address any safety concerns promptly.
  4. Implementing and enforcing hostel rules and regulations to maintain discipline and order among residents.
  5. Student Support and Guidance:
  6. Providing emotional support and guidance to female students residing in the hostel, acting as a mentor and confidante.
  7. Addressing the individual needs and concerns of residents, including academic, personal, and social issues, and offering appropriate assistance or referrals.
  8. Organizing regular meetings and counseling sessions to discuss residents' concerns and promote a supportive community environment.
  9. Health and Well-being:
  10. Monitoring the physical and mental health of hostel residents and coordinating with the college medical center or healthcare providers as needed.
  11. Promoting health and wellness initiatives within the hostel, including fitness activities, mental health awareness programs, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  12. Ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained in the hostel facilities to safeguard residents' health and well-being.
  13. Parental Communication:
  14. Serving as a liaison between parents/guardians and hostel management, providing regular updates on students' well-being and academic progress.
  15. Addressing parental concerns or inquiries promptly and maintaining open communication channels to foster trust and transparency.
  16. Crisis Management:
  17. Responding to emergency situations or crisis incidents in the hostel, such as illness, accidents, or conflicts, and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and welfare of residents.
  18. Collaborating with college authorities, security personnel, and external agencies to manage crisis situations effectively and minimize disruptions to hostel operations.
  19. Documentation and Reporting:
  20. Maintaining accurate records of hostel occupancy, student incidents, and disciplinary actions, and preparing reports as required by college authorities.
  21. Documenting and reporting any violations of hostel rules or code of conduct, and collaborating with college administration to address disciplinary issues.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, education, psychology, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Proven experience in student affairs, hostel management, counseling, or related areas.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
  4. Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
