Key Responsibilities:

1.Training and Development:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement training programs to enhance students' employability skills.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to organize workshops, guest lectures, seminars, and mock interviews to prepare students for interviews and professional careers.
  • Identify gaps in students' skill sets and design training sessions on soft skills, aptitude, technical skills, and industry-relevant areas.
  • Facilitate certification programs and internships.

2.Placement Coordination:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with companies, industries, and professional organizations for internships and placements.
  • Organize campus placement drives by inviting companies to recruit students.
  • Ensure a smooth recruitment process by coordinating with corporate HR teams and students.
  • Monitor placement statistics and ensure the highest placement rate possible.

3.Industry Collaboration:

  • Establish partnerships and MoUs with industries for long-term collaborations on internships, guest lectures, workshops, and recruitment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and requirements to guide curriculum improvements.

4.Career Counseling:

  • Provide career guidance and counseling to students on various career opportunities and paths in different industries.
  • Assist students in identifying career goals and creating pathways to achieve them.
  • Guide students on resume building, interview techniques, and professional communication.

5.Networking:

  • Attend networking events, job fairs, and industry conferences to promote the institution and its students to potential employers.
  • Engage alumni for mentorship programs and placement support.

6.Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain a comprehensive database of students, alumni, and placement records.
  • Prepare periodic placement reports for the management and stakeholders.
  • Track employment trends and identify sectors with high employment opportunities for graduates.

7.Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all placement and training-related documentation is complete and maintained in a systematic manner.
  • Develop and implement policies related to placement and student training activities.
  • Organize and coordinate annual placement events like career fairs and industrial visits.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Business, HR, Engineering, or related discipline).
  • 5+ years of experience in training, placement, career counseling, or corporate relations, preferably in an academic institution.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and corporate organizations.
  • Experience in conducting training programs and workshops.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, recruitment processes, and corporate requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office and placement management tools.
