Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Administration:

  • Provide visionary leadership for the School of Electronics Engineering, ensuring alignment with the institution's mission and goals.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including budget management, faculty recruitment, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with academic policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Curriculum Development and Academic Programs:

  • Guide the development and periodic revision of the curriculum to meet industry standards and technological advancements in electronics engineering.
  • Ensure academic programs foster innovation, critical thinking, and practical skills.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaborations across departments for enhanced learning experiences.
  • Encourage the integration of modern tools, techniques, and hands-on training in the curriculum.

Research and Development:

  • Foster a culture of research and innovation among faculty and students.
  • Encourage faculty to publish research, secure funding, and participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • Facilitate partnerships with industry, government, and other academic institutions for research opportunities.
  • Promote the development of patents and intellectual property from faculty research.

Faculty Development:

  • Support faculty in their professional growth, including research, teaching methodologies, and technical skills.
  • Organize faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance academic and research excellence.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship to faculty members.

Student Engagement and Development:

  • Ensure students receive a high-quality education through mentoring, academic support, and hands-on projects.
  • Promote student participation in competitions, internships, and industry collaborations.
  • Oversee student admissions, placements, and career development initiatives.
  • Create opportunities for students to engage in research, innovation, and entrepreneurial activities.

Industry and Academic Partnerships:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders to enhance the department's academic and research programs.
  • Collaborate with companies to develop internship, placement, and training programs for students.
  • Facilitate guest lectures, workshops, and industry visits for both faculty and students.

Strategic Planning and Innovation:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to elevate the School of Electronics Engineering in terms of academic and research achievements.
  • Explore new programs, certifications, and courses based on emerging trends in electronics engineering.
  • Drive initiatives to improve the department’s rankings and visibility nationally and internationally.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering (ECE / EEE with research supervisorship is preferable) from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 15-25 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership.
  • Proven track record of research publications, patents, or industry projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing faculty, research, and student development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of emerging trends in electronics engineering.
