Job Description for Pharmacy Store Incharge

Position: Pharmacy Store Incharge

Location: Dr. Moopen’s Medical College

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years post-B.Pharm/M.Pharm

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues of medicines and other pharmaceutical products.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement and replenishment of stock.
  1. Compliance and Quality Control:
  • Ensure all pharmaceutical products meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines and other items as per guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, including labeling, documentation, and handling protocols.
  1. Operational Management:
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the pharmacy store, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service.
  • Implement and oversee inventory management software or systems.
  • Coordinate with other departments for requisitions and timely delivery of medications.
  1. Team Supervision:
  • Lead and train pharmacy staff in inventory handling, documentation, and customer service.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory, sales, and purchase transactions.
  • Report discrepancies or issues promptly to management and recommend solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory or pharmacy store management.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance standards.
