  •  Liaison with Govt. authorities like DISH, MPCB, Corporation and MIDC for Safety, Health & Environmental matters.
  •  Support the development of OHS policies and programs.
  •  Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
  •  Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
  •  Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
  •  Initiate and organize OHS training of existing employees as well as new joinees.
  •  Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
  •  Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
  •  Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
  •  Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.
  •  Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
  •  Ensuring 100% compliance of legal requirement with respect to Safety, Health & Environment.
  •  Investigation & analyzing the all near miss, dangerous occurrences, incidents, accidents and suggesting corrective & counter measures based on available facts.
  •  Ensuring the smooth functioning of hazard and incident identification process and monitor actions on it.
  •  Executing / supporting the on-site emergency plan and allotted the responsibility of respective. Individual in case of emergency. Conducting the mock drills & initiating action on CAPA.
  •  Ensuring accurate documentation for necessary permits & applications.
  •  Support to develop safety culture & coordinate with cross function departments to build stronger safety culture at factory.


Candidate Profile


Qualification

  •  Bachelor's degree / Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical) + Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene or related field highly preferred [Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety]


Experience                                                        

  •  Minimum  8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5+ years of post-safety qualification experience in safety function.
