Web Vulnerabilities Assessor (Student)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Vulnerabilities Assessor to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in our web applications and systems. You will conduct thorough assessments, perform penetration testing, and collaborate with various teams to enhance our security posture. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments on web applications, networks, and systems.
• Identify, analyze, and document security vulnerabilities using automated tools and manual testing techniques.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
• Perform penetration testing to simulate real-world attacks and assess the security posture of web applications.
• Develop and maintain security testing scripts and tools.
• Prepare detailed reports of findings, including risk assessments and recommendations for mitigation.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence.
• Participate in incident response activities and provide expertise during security breaches.

Qualifications:

• Ongoing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of web application security, including OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency with security tools such as Caido, Burp Suite, ngrok, and others.
• Basic knowledge of programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash).
• Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• BSCP (All Learning Paths), certification is not required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
