Job Overview

Sr. Accountant position with 4-6 years of experience based in Mumbai. This is a full-time role in the civil engineering industry.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Sound knowledge of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP, SAP ERP, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Experience in bank reconciliation and software bookkeeping.
• Ability to prepare and analyze balance sheets and other financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Knowledge of civil engineering industry and project accounting will be an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including bookkeeping, TDS calculation, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Provide support during the audit process, preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and systems.
• Handle ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting as required.
