Job Description: Support Bridge Design Engineer

· Prepare Bridge/ structural designs of any structure assigned to you as per relevant codes,

engineering practices etc by following all the steps such as preparation of planning sheet,

DBR, framing plans etc. as per company policy & ISO standard procedure.

· Managing Design office as well as providing guidance to other design engineers.

· Coordinate with HOD/ Director for proper planning of Design jobs

· Planning and monitoring of Design office deliverables as per the agreed schedule with our

clients.

· Have interaction on regular basis with client to ensure client’s satisfaction and associate

consultants.

· Prepare structural designs of any structure assigned to you as per relevant codes,

engineering practices etc by following all the steps such as preparation of planning sheet,

DBR, framing plans etc. as per company policy & ISO standard procedure.

· Co-ordinate with client, architect, site etc. to gather necessary information, get approval to

drawings where necessary, incorporate changes as required, attend meetings as required.

· Furnish necessary details in the form of sketches, marking on prepared templates etc. to the

draughtsmen for preparation of drawings. Check the prepared drawing by taking a check

print after ensuring that the drawing is checked by draughtsmen & errors if any are

corrected. Check print with markings to be given to draughtsman for correction if any and

ensure that the drawing is as per requirements of design and drafting standards.

· Ensure accuracy in designs and drawings as well as timely completion which shall be entirely

your responsibility.

· Visit sites to check reinforcement and record observations and issue instructions for

corrections if any

· Prepare job wise planning sheet before commencing new job.

· Enhance technical knowledge by referring to available books, codes, manuals, articles etc.

as well as study of other designs available in office.

· Basic Planning of Structural Scheme.

· Checking of Programs and designs.

· Checking of Drawings.

· Guiding people with Computer modeling and design w.r.t. latest IRC code stipulations.

· Taking full responsibility for design/drawings of infrastructure / building projects.

· Improve Client Servicing, bill & collection of receivable from client.

· Co-ordination with contract Department to ensure timely completion of tendering related

activities. Also help related department keep track of the executed quantities vis-a -vis

tendered quantities & take necessary timely actions like trying to maintain the quintiles or

inform the client of proposed increase well in advance to avoid any contractual problems.

· Assist BD team in getting repeat orders of design from the client.

Required and Knowledge Skills:

-       Problem solving

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering (MTech) is mandatory

Experience: 6-8 years of experience in Bridge Design Projects etc.
