Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transplant Coordinator to join our team at Chennai Urology And Robotics Institute. As a Transplant Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of organ transplantation, including pre-transplant evaluation, transplant surgery coordination, post-transplant care, and patient education. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and requires 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in transplant coordination or a similar role
- Knowledge of organ transplantation process and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with different stakeholders
- Empathy and compassion towards patients and their families
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of organ transplantation process
- Perform pre-transplant evaluation of potential transplant recipients
- Collaborate with the transplant surgeon, medical team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth coordination
- Schedule and coordinate transplant surgeries and post-transplant care
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to organ transplantation
- Provide education and support to transplant recipients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of transplant process and patient records
- Participate in transplant team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with advances in organ transplantation and contribute to continuous learning and professional development
