Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Nephrology Physician Assistant to join our team at Chennai Urology And Robotics Institute. As a Nephrology Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to our nephrology department in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with kidney-related conditions. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, with an emphasis on providing high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field
- Valid certification/licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Fresher: Less than 1 year years of experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of nephrology
- Proficiency in computer skills and electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in dialysis and case history assessment is preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with kidney-related conditions under the supervision of a nephrologist
- Obtain and evaluate patient medical histories, including performing physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Assist in the management and coordination of patient care, including medication management
- Perform procedures such as dialysis, including the setup and monitoring of equipment
- Provide patient education on kidney disease management, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to established protocols and standards of care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities
