Job Overview


We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Nephrology Physician Assistant to join our team at Chennai Urology And Robotics Institute. As a Nephrology Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to our nephrology department in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with kidney-related conditions. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, with an emphasis on providing high-quality patient care.


Qualifications and Skills


  • A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field
  • Valid certification/licensure as a Physician Assistant
  • Fresher: Less than 1 year years of experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of nephrology
  • Proficiency in computer skills and electronic medical records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in dialysis and case history assessment is preferred


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with kidney-related conditions under the supervision of a nephrologist
  • Obtain and evaluate patient medical histories, including performing physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Assist in the management and coordination of patient care, including medication management
  • Perform procedures such as dialysis, including the setup and monitoring of equipment
  • Provide patient education on kidney disease management, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Adhere to established protocols and standards of care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities
