We are seeking a dedicated Dialysis Technologist to join our team at Chennai Urology And Robotics Institute (CURI) in Chennai. This is a full-time, mid-level position responsible for operating dialysis machines and providing care to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment. The ideal candidate will ensure quality assurance, manage medical equipment maintenance, and adhere to infection control procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in operating hemodialysis machines, ensuring proper setup and maintenance for effective patient treatment.
• Experienced in providing compassionate and effective patient care throughout the dialysis process, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Knowledgeable in maintaining medical equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and timely repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
• Familiar with infection control procedures to prevent contamination and ensure a sterile treatment environment.
• Understanding of medical terminology related to nephrology and dialysis to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
• Skilled in vascular access management, including the preparation and maintenance of vascular access sites for dialysis patients.
• Ability to perform quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.
• Trained in emergency response, capable of acting swiftly and effectively in managing medical emergencies during dialysis treatment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hemodialysis machines during patient treatments, ensuring accurate functioning and patient safety.
• Provide direct patient care, including pre-treatment assessment and post-treatment follow-up to evaluate patient health and response to dialysis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot dialysis equipment, ensuring regular servicing and immediate resolution of malfunctions.
• Implement infection control practices to minimize the risk of infections and maintain a sterile treatment environment.
• Manage vascular access sites, preparing patients and ensuring proper care and maintenance of access points.
• Ensure quality assurance by adhering to healthcare regulations, conducting routine checks, and maintaining detailed patient records.
• Respond to medical emergencies during dialysis sessions, providing immediate care and following established protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including nephrologists and nurses, to provide integrated and comprehensive patient care.
