Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and qualified Dialysis Technician for a full-time position at our Chennai location. The ideal candidate will have a junior position level with essential work experience of 1 to 3 years. The primary responsibility is to provide quality care for patients undergoing dialysis, ensure the smooth operation of dialysis machinery, and maintain a sterile and safe work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient operation of hemodialysis machines including troubleshooting and minor repairs (Mandatory skill).
- In-depth understanding of patient monitoring and assessment during dialysis sessions (Mandatory skill).
- Ability to perform dialysis equipment maintenance to ensure high functionality (Mandatory skill).
- Knowledge in vascular access care to prepare and manage site used for dialysis treatment.
- Experience with water treatment systems critical for dialysis to maintain operational standards.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate patient data documentation.
- Adherence to strict infection control procedures to maintain sterile conditions for patient safety.
- Application of blood purification techniques for optimally effective dialysis treatment outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor dialysis machines ensuring safety and functionality for each session.
- Assess patient condition before, during, and after treatment, adapting protocols as necessary for well-being.
- Manage the setup and disconnection process from dialysis to ensure safety and comfort for patients.
- Maintain dialysis equipment through regular checks and cleanings to uphold quality standards.
- Document relevant patient information accurately into the EMR systems in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure a sterile environment and adherence to infection control protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Keep informed of updates in procedures and technology relevant to dialysis and healthcare.
