Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Academic Counselor to join our team at CRETACLASS. As an Academic Counselor, you will be responsible for guiding and counseling students in their academic journey. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore Urban, Karnataka, India. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in academic counseling or a similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport and engage with students
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of educational systems, programs, and resources
• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software
• Cold calling and sales experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Strong research skills to provide accurate and updated information
• Passionate about education and helping students achieve their goals
• Fluent in English and local language

Roles and Responsibilities

• Guide and counsel students on various academic programs and career options
• Assist students in setting educational goals and developing study plans
• Provide information and advice about course selection, prerequisites, and program requirements
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to address academic challenges and provide support
• Assist students in understanding university policies, procedures, and graduation requirements
• Answer inquiries from students, parents, and faculty regarding academic programs and policies
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote student success and retention
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation
• Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance counseling skills
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in education
