The Business Support Officer (BSO) will work in close coordination with the company's management and will be responsible for overall short-term and long-term business development, support, and coordination for the projects in the areas of regulatory, and clinical development. licensing and feasibility for healthcare products such as pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, health supplements, herbs, cosmetics, etc. The Business Support Officer is required to work remotely and coordinate with all stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure the project as well as business development objectives are met.
Essential duties and responsibilities (included but not limited to):
We are looking for an incumbent who can perform the following activities while working remotely:
- Working along with the Company’s management to develop and execute the plan for achieving the Company’s defined business goals and objectives.
- Identified business growth opportunities and developed strategies for converting opportunities into the Company's business.
- Processing the project inquiries regarding regulatory support, clinical development, licensing, and feasibility for healthcare products such as pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, health supplements, herbals, cosmetics, etc. with due diligence and prioritizing the leads accordingly.
- Led communications with customers, vendors, and internal teams through emails and other communication channels.
- Proactively spearheading the processing of inquiries till completion.
- Handling correspondence related to new inquiries on the company's various communication channels promptly.
- Identifying the potential vendors for existing sales opportunities and approaching them to explore the feasibility of mutual cooperation.
- Undertaking the processing of confidentiality agreements and other contractual formalities with potential customers, and vendors.
- Coordinating with vendors to generate support for managing new projects.
- Initiate, participate, and manage meetings (audio/video / personal) with customers, vendors, and internal teams for project-related matters.
- Coordination with and providing support to the company management for project and business-related matters.
- Updating vendor and Customer Relationship Management databases.
- Drafting quotations, proposals, and invoices.
- Preparing sales analysis reports through Google charts.
- Maintaining the sales records for future reference.
- Running web research to identify appropriate solutions to sales inquiries regarding regulatory support, clinical development, licensing, and feasibility for healthcare products such as pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, health supplements, herbals, cosmetics, etc.
- Creating Project Plans on the Gantt Chart and tracking/updating the milestones for existing projects.
- Setting a follow-up mechanism to ensure the project timelines are met.
- Initiating Social Media and other marketing campaigns (as per directives and guidance from company management) to reach the passive client market.
- Undertaking relevant activities as per the directives from the management.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, biochemistry, biology, medicine, and other related fields or equivalent education sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job is required.
A master's or higher degree in business development, project management, or marketing will be an added advantage.
Prior Work Experience:
At least 2-5 years of experience in business development/support, client support, sales, and/or vendor management in the fields of clinical trials or regulatory support related to pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, health supplements, herbal, cosmetics, etc.
- Job Knowledge:
- Knowledge of business development, sales coordination, and/or project coordination in the fields of clinical trials or regulatory support related to pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, health supplements, herbals, cosmetics, etc.
- Understanding of operational activities in clinical trials and/or regulatory fields is highly desirable.
- A basic understanding of client communication flow is desired.
- Any previous experience/qualification/knowledge in relevant work will be preferred.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Expert ability to search various sites and sources to gather information, process the results obtained, and prepare conclusions related to regulatory support, clinical development, licensing, and feasibility for healthcare products such as pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, health supplements, herbals, cosmetics, etc.
- Flexibility to work at different hours of the day, depending on self, customers, vendors, and/or internal teams’ time zones.
- Able to prepare meaningful, clear, and crisp documents like reports, manuals, proposals, etc., without grammatical, spelling, or other errors, based on given details and instructions related to regulatory support, clinical development, licensing, and feasibility for healthcare products such as pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, health supplements, herbals, cosmetics, etc.
- Able to work comfortably on spreadsheets (google spreadsheets) - with formulas, functions, and other modules in the spreadsheet.
- Quick learner and work well without constant supervision.
- Ability to understand and comprehend the needs of the work and cooperate well.
- Language Proficiency: Expert written communication skills in the English language - This should be demonstrated by prior work and on-the-spot test (during the selection process). Good English speaking skills with the ability to understand different international accents are also required.
