Job Overview
Over the past five years, the music industry has undergone significant transformation. The Brand Partnerships division plays a pivotal role in fostering new commercial relationships with brands nationwide, managing licensing agreements, and developing innovative products and services that contribute to bottom-line revenue.
The employer's primary objective is to blend creativity with strategic execution, achieving major successes through visionary music concepts while also securing smaller, tactical deals that ensure consistent business and revenue growth. A crucial element of this department's function is to establish and maintain commercial partnerships on a national scale. The employer's brand partnership solutions encompass a wide range of offerings, including but not limited to sync licensing, artist endorsements, branded content on streaming apps and platforms, exclusive live and recorded content, and premium deals.
Key Deliverables:
- Derive synergistic solutions that allow brands to capitalize on the company’s properties. Be the primary regional point of contact for the Brand Team.
- Use data, analysis, and available information and present, pitch, and position music as a brand strategy.
- Create impactful and innovative solutions for brands will require you to capitalize on the various initiatives being undertaken by the organization.
- As the primary architect for strategic solutions for brands, you will be involved in directing the project to fruition and realizing the creative vision of the project.
- Lead the effective planning and timely delivery of project deliverables in conjunction with internal product teams.
- Clear understanding and framing of strategy for brands using research and market information, ability to clearly present music and brand proposition.
- Liaison with various internal product teams to procure relevant information, conceptualize solutions for brands that meet the client objectives, and maximize consumer engagement and reach via relevant social media, digital media, and ATL amplification.
- Oversee all new business project financials, timelines, and deliverables.
Ideal Candidates:
- Post-graduate in marketing/ communications, with 5- 12 years of experience working within the branded, commercial entertainment sector like advertising agencies, digital agencies and media agencies, radio stations, and publishing houses.
- Exposure to strategic planning, with proven expertise in decoding consumer behavior into powerful insights is a definite advantage.
- Proven record of developing very successful branded entertainment/ commercially viable brand ideas.
- Strong research and analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
- Ability to switch hats between creative strategy and commercials
- Needs to be well-informed and networked to understand new business outreach success, challenges, and opportunities.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies across formats and platforms. A deal maker with a proven ability to build client relationships at senior levels.
- Must be passionate or at least curious about the role played by music in building brands and businesses.
- Very strong understanding of brands and culture that results in rich data analysis and interpretation with superior presentation skills. Conversant, either as a practitioner or user, of modern tools and techniques of market research.
- Strong relationship-building, collaborative, and client-facing skills. Excellent team-playing capabilities. Sensitivity to handle differing viewpoints with maturity.
- High levels of intellectual capability. Commitment to quality and timely delivery.
- Must have high energy, along with influencing and impacting skills in an organization that works across markets and cultures.
