Senior Medical Coder - Surgery - HYBRID

Are you a seasoned medical coding expert looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Coder to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely coding of complex surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

Accurately code outpatient surgery, radiation oncology, IVR, infusion, and injection procedures using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes.

Review and analyze medical records to extract accurate coding information.

Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines, regulations, and payer policies.

Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and denials.

Mentor and train junior coders.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

CPC/CCS Certification required.

3+ years of experience in medical coding, with a strong focus on outpatient surgery, radiation oncology, IVR, infusion, and injection procedures.

Life Science/Paramedical Degree preferred.

Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in coding software and electronic health records.

APC Facility coding experience is a plus.

Auditing and denial management experience is a plus.

Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Noida, Gurgaon, Pune.
