In this role, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies, driving Wireless applications forward to achieve our NorthStar architecture goals. You’ll lead initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership, setting priorities, tracking KPIs, and driving innovation. By fostering a culture of progress, you’ll work closely with development, QA, SRE, Architecture teams, and external partners to deliver an outstanding user experience for our business customers.

  • Championing Best Practices: Engage, influence, and advocate for best practices in Software Development with teams across development, operations, and product groups to ensure aligned, efficient technology solutions.
  • Building a Top-Performing Team: Develop, inspire, and retain a high-performing team, overseeing direction and continuously evaluating performance while promoting career growth and high morale.
  • Encouraging Creativity and Engagement: Motivate the team to participate in hackathons, coding events, and organization-wide innovation efforts to promote a culture of creativity.
  • Providing Leadership and Mentorship: Offer leadership on complex projects, mentor the team with an emphasis on development, architecture, systems analysis, design, and testing.
  • Ensuring Quality and Accountability: Implement clear processes, metrics, and goals for quality assurance, lead effective postmortems, and ensure follow-through on action items.
  • Driving Platform Strategy: Lead strategic planning and execution for platform development, focusing on building a repeatable, scalable model for engineering. This includes implementing SRE, DevSecOps, Security, Stability, and Scalability tools and practices.
  • Enabling Automation and Monitoring: Facilitate proactive monitoring and automation to detect issues early, with strong technical guidance on architecture and design.
  • Managing Performance and Capacity: Oversee capacity planning, performance analysis, and other non-functional requirements to ensure system robustness.
  • Engaging with Customers and Stakeholders: Collaborate daily with internal and external customers, providing updates, technical insights, and managing project timelines and budgets.
  • Solving Complex Problems Creatively: Tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions, requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors.
  • Overseeing Major Projects: Manage all aspects of multiple large-scale projects from concept through implementation, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Vendor Management: Define SMART goals, evaluate vendor performance, ensure accountability, and manage Statements of Work effectively.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience in software development.
  • Proven experience in software development management, overseeing large-scale core development projects from requirements to delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot microservices, MFE, Oracle, Cassandra NoSQL.
  • Proficiency in Java Spring Boot, React, New Relic, Kibana, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5, databases (Postgres/MySQL/Oracle), AWS, K8S, SOE/SRE, DevSecOps tools.
  • Experience in Angular or React.
  • Agile (SAFe/Scrum) delivery management expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Assisted/Wireless Telecom Systems or Retail/eCommerce domains.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Certifications, patents, published work, or industry recognition.
  • Strong problem-solving skills under time constraints.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, ACP).
  • A proven leader and mentor with a high level of engagement with team members.
