Function :

The Sales and Trading team engages with Hedge Fund clients for providing liquidity and exposure on short & long financing through prime trading products. They also provide Short side analytics and market colour to hedge funds and manage bespoke client requests Position Purpose

The team is looking for a resource who can work in close coordination with traders located in New York, London, Paris and other hub locations and provide bespoke analysis, assist with inventory management,efficient book management, provide short interest color and commentary, work with the traders on Ad hoc requests and collaborate with other desks within the business to provide high quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Assist, improve, and possibly take ownership of:

• Working closely with the Sales Trading desks to learn the various parts of the Prime Services

business, developing an understanding of the front to back operations of the

business.

• Assist the desk with Dividend and voluntary corporate action checks for funding and LCR

mitigation swap trades

• Projects assigned by the traders in areas of client re-rates, dividend exposure and short side

analytics

• Short interest color-based reports to be sent to clients based on varied themes around earnings,

sector trends, IPO lock-up liquidity, Crowded Shorts and Convert Arb color

• Tracking and analysing trade level PnL for client short positions, including managing pricing and

re-pricing of client short positions with reconciliations.

• Ad hoc requests from the trading desk with respect to preparing pitch decks, client portfolio color

and book spread analysis

• Working closely with the New York trading desk for T+1 settlement cycle transitional period on

multiple projects and daily flow management

Contributing Responsibilities

• Working with colleagues in client analytics and other teams on projects related to analysing

historical data and building dashboards connecting various databases

• Helping with trade bookings as and when required Technical & Behavioural Competencies

• Graduate degree in Finance, Engineering or economics preferred

• Understanding of various financial products, equities, prime services and global Markets

• Experience in programming (Python/ VBA) and analytical tools would be beneficial

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), comfortable working and communicating with various teams spread across regions.

• Attention to detail, ability to raise problems immediately to the broader team when necessary

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel
