Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Phaco Specialist for a full-time, mid-level position based in Madurai. The ideal candidate will have up to 6 years of experience and be proficient in advanced ophthalmic procedures. You will join a dedicated team working to deliver exceptional medical services. This role requires both technical skills in ophthalmology and a commitment to patient care in line with Covenant Consultants' ethos.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in phacoemulsification to ensure effective and efficient cataract surgery outcomes.
- In-depth understanding of cataract surgery techniques to provide high-quality patient care.
- Experience in intraocular lens implantation to restore proper vision to patients.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various eye surgery procedures to address different ocular conditions.
- Strong patient care skills to ensure a reassuring and supportive experience for patients pre- and post-surgery.
- Must be skilled in ophthalmology (Mandatory skill) for diagnosing and treating eye diseases.
- Efficiency in operating medical equipment to support surgical and non-surgical treatments (Mandatory skill).
- Expertise in surgical techniques to perform procedures with precision and care (Mandatory skill).
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform phacoemulsification and cataract surgeries with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive eye care solutions.
- Engage with patients to explain surgical procedures and ensure informed consent.
- Maintain detailed records of surgical procedures and patient progress in accordance with medical regulations.
- Ensure the sterilization and proper maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in ophthalmology.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and innovative techniques within the ophthalmic department.
