Job Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Buyer specialized in Chassis for a full-time and contract position located in Chennai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating, selecting, and developing vendors and suppliers related to chassis components. As a Buyer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement, contributing to our mission of excellence and quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Buyer in the chassis domain, with strong competence in vendor management and supplier engagement (Mandatory skill).
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining new vendor and supplier relationships in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Hands-on experience in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and cost savings.
• Ability to evaluate vendor proposals, quality standards, and pricing to select the most suitable products.
• Proficient understanding of chassis components, materials, and market trends to drive informed purchasing decisions.
• Strong decision-making skills to manage risks and mitigate any potential disruptions in the supply chain.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in data analysis to monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new and existing suppliers to ensure optimal cost, quality, and reliable supply of chassis components.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize value and supplier performance.

• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to assess supplier capabilities and improve product development.
• Conduct market analysis to forecast industry trends and sourcing opportunities for chassis components.
• Manage supplier relationships to foster long-term collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory management.
• Monitor and report on key procurement metrics, suggesting improvements in processes and approaches.
