Job Overview

Cotton Concepts is seeking a Junior Quality Merchandiser for our Home Textiles division. This full-time position, based in Karur, requires a talented individual with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. The role involves ensuring quality control, engaging in merchandising, and supporting product development for our diverse range of home textile products.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in quality control with a focus on textiles and home products to ensure high standards are met consistently.
• Must have expertise in merchandising within the textile industry, understanding market trends, and customer preferences (Mandatory skill).
• Proficiency in product development, particularly in textiles, to assist in creating innovative and competitive products (Mandatory skill).
• Good understanding of textiles to work effectively across different types of fabrics used in home textile products.
• Experience in supply chain management to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of products from conception to delivery.
• Skills in vendor management to maintain strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
• Ability to perform quality checking of fabrics and ensure all products meet the company's standards.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality of textile products from production through to final approval.
• Collaborate with the product development team to curate innovative and market-relevant textile designs.
• Assist in planning and executing merchandising strategies that align with company objectives.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on fabrics and work closely with the supply chain to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality specifications.
• Support the development and implementation of processes that improve product quality and efficiency.
• Participate in meetings to discuss merchandising strategies and product development plans.
• Prepare and present reports on product quality and merchandising outcomes to senior management.
