Roles and responsibilities:

1.Developing and Enforcing IT Best Practices:

 Software Development:

 Establish coding standards and development methodologies (e.g.,

Agile, DevOps).

 Implement code review processes and version control (e.g., Git

branching strategy).

 Ensure proper documentation and maintainable codebase.

 Identify key software initiatives like digital transformation, AI/ML

integration, or custom tool development.

 Prioritize technology stack updates, refactoring legacy systems, and

innovation.

 Set clear objectives for delivery cycles, customer experience

enhancements, and business alignment.

 Infrastructure Team:

 Monitor security best practices (e.g., patching, access control,

vulnerability scanning).

 Develop incident management and disaster recovery protocols.

 Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.

 Business continuity plan.

 Implementing Digital Data Protection and Data Privacy act 

 Plan for cloud adoption, on premise infrastructure upgrades, and

hybrid cloud solutions.

2. Software and Server Performance Improvement:

 Monitoring and Analytics:

 Implement performance monitoring  

 Use logging and error monitoring for early detection.

 Optimization:

 Software: Refactor code, enhance algorithms, implement caching.

 Infrastructure: Optimize server utilization, implement auto-scaling,

improve database performance.

 Capacity Planning: Conduct load testing to ensure the system can handle

future growth.

 Security and Stability: Regular updates and patching to avoid performance

degradation due to vulnerabilities.

 Benchmarking: Regularly benchmark against industry standards to ensure

continuous improvement.

3. Storage Optimization for Future Usage:

 Assess current storage usage patterns and set policies for data retention.

 Use deduplication, compression, and tiered storage for efficient usage.

 Explore cloud storage options for scalability (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob).

 Automate archival of infrequently accessed data to lower-cost storage.

 Regularly audit storage to identify redundant or outdated files and clean

them up.
