Job Summary:

The Team Leader in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) process is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of charge entry and payment posting, order entry and qualification, and creating delivery tasks. This role ensures the team meets productivity and accuracy standards, provides exceptional customer service, and complies with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management:
  • Supervise and guide a team of associates in the DME process.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions.
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Handle escalations and resolve issues promptly.
  1. Charge Entry and Payment Posting:
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of charges and payments.
  • Review and verify patient information and insurance details.
  • Reconcile daily postings and resolve discrepancies.
  1. Order Entry and Qualification:
  • Oversee the entry of orders into the system, ensuring accuracy.
  • Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage.
  • Ensure all orders meet qualification criteria before processing.
  1. Creating Delivery:
  • Coordinate the delivery schedule and ensure timely dispatch.
  • Verify delivery details and confirm with patients.
  • Manage inventory levels to fulfill delivery requirements.
  1. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the DME or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and management.
  • Strong knowledge of charge entry, payment posting, order entry, and delivery processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in healthcare management or related field.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the DME industry.
