- Conducting Site Investigations: Performing on-site inspections to assess the current condition of pavements and the underlying soil. This helps determine the necessary rehabilitation or maintenance strategies.
- Material Testing and Evaluation: Testing various construction materials, such as asphalt, concrete, and aggregates, to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This includes laboratory testing and analysis.
- Project Management: Overseeing pavement construction projects from inception to completion. This includes budgeting, scheduling, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring design specifications and safety regulations compliance.
- Maintenance and Rehabilitation: Developing maintenance plans and strategies to extend the life of existing pavements. This may involve resurfacing, sealing cracks, or full-depth reconstruction.
