Role & responsibilities:

  • Play a significant leadership and management role in the ongoing development of the B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm D & Post Baccalaureate programme.
  • Maintain overall supervision of teaching programs and guidance of teaching staff including in-service education of staff.
  • Promote Career Planning services through in-class presentations, student organization outreach, New Student Orientation, and in concert with college support services.
  • Responsible for organizing the workload of staff including teaching assignments.
  • Determines the scope & responsibility of each teaching & non-teaching staff.
  • Represent the institution, such as quality assurance, learning, and teaching, international development, enterprise, research, or research ethics.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to the faculty team, supporting them in the development of their personal research track records and research impact.
  • Promotes staff participation in research.
  • Identify industries/institutions for collaboration and involvement of the Institute in various associations / academic bodies, etc. to integrate educational initiatives and resources
  • Follow up and coordinate the activities relating to the Ranking, Accreditation, Outreach, etc., and establish connections with government / non-Government agencies at both State and Central levels;
  • Assisting in yearly teacher evaluations, assisting in providing guidance to staff and students, and encouraging a positive climate in the college.
  • Attend seminars and other training opportunities for professional development.
  • Participation in the college's committee work.
  • Generate employment opportunities for students and alumni by establishing and maintaining productive employer partnerships.
  • Providing timely feedback to the coordinators in terms of the scope of improvement
  • Responsible for Recruiting college Professors, Lecturers, and other staff members.
  • Responsible for all documentation work regarding college admissions and play a leading role in the student admission process
  • Maintain Alumni Students database.
  • Any other assignments as directed by the managing committee

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Candidates must have a M.Pharm with Ph.D. in any discipline of pharmacy. Should have a minimum of 18 years of experience in teaching and administration, as well as at least 5 years as a principal in NIRF/NAAC ranked institutions.
  • He / She should know the regulation of THE Dr. MGR University.,
  • Should have a vast knowledge of a research program
  • Should have a vast knowledge of NAAC Accreditation
  • Should have vast knowledge in Academics and Administration.
