ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The principal's responsibilities encompass various areas including strategic planning, academic leadership, institutional governance, external relations, leadership and administration, curriculum and instruction, student affairs, staff management, community relations, budget and resource management, and regulatory compliance.

They are accountable for developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the college's vision, mission, and goals, setting objectives, formulating policies, and making decisions that enhance the quality of education and research. They also provide academic leadership by overseeing the curriculum, academic programs, and faculty development initiatives, ensuring the institution meets academic standards and regulations set by regulatory bodies, and evaluating the performance of faculty members.

Furthermore, they provide leadership in institutional governance, managing the budget, maintaining institutional policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The principal also represents the institution in external forums and establishes relationships with industry, government agencies, and other organizations to promote collaboration and partnership opportunities for the college.

The principal is responsible for the recruitment, training, and professional development of the school's staff, evaluates staff performance, and provides feedback and guidance to help them improve their effectiveness. They also oversee the implementation of student support services and ensure that the school provides a safe and healthy learning environment for students. The principal serves as the face of the school to the community, building relationships with parents, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote the school's mission and vision, and manages the school's budget and resources to support the school's programs and initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Education:

  • PhD (Preferred)
  • At least two successful PhD guided as supervisor/Co-supervisor and minimum & research publications in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals.

Experience:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a teaching experience of 10-15 years or more.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience serving as a principal in an educational institution.
